Cleaning Brushes

To ensure that brushes last as long as possible, it is essential to take good care of them. For ease of use and hygiene, brushes should be cleaned thoroughly at regular intervals. When using powder makeup, brushes can be wiped after use with a brush disinfectant, which cleans the brushes effectively and gently. Apply a small drop of disinfectant to the brushes and wipe them on a paper towel or cleaning cloth. The brushes are ready for use once they are dry, so disinfectant can also be used if you need to switch from a darker to a lighter eyeshadow shade and don't have enough brushes available.

When using creamy products such as foundations, concealers, and lipsticks, it is advisable to wash the brushes thoroughly after use with water and brush soap, using a Brushwash brush cleaner for assistance. This ensures that all makeup products are completely removed from between the bristles and do not remain to cause bristle shedding or provide a breeding ground for bacteria. Wet the brush with water and gently rub it on a bar of brush soap so that all the bristles get an even coat of soap. Rotate the soaped brush against the nubs of the brush cleaner, which helps to remove even the greasiest foundations and lipsticks from the base of the bristles. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap from between the bristles. After washing, it is best to leave the brushes to dry flat or hang them on a brush drying rack.
