Duroy Lumina Brushes
The design of Lumina brushes was initially based on the needs of beauty professionals and students, as well as their brush requirements. Both professionals and students need high-quality brushes that make it easy to create beautiful makeup for clients. To facilitate the selection of necessary brushes from Duroy's extensive range for busy professionals running salons or those taking their first steps in the beauty industry, a controlled set of a few brushes was designed in collaboration with special cosmetologist and makeup artist Ville Äikäs, allowing for the creation of even more demanding makeup looks. Lumina has everything you need.
The fresh white wooden handle of the brushes distinguishes Lumina brushes from other Duroy brush lines, creating a clear identity. The long handle makes it easy to maintain a firm grip while applying makeup, which in itself enhances the final result. All brushes are made with synthetic bristles, making them suitable for vegans as well. The collection includes a total of eight brushes. The tips of the synthetic bristles are rounded, and the material is soft, allowing the brushes to glide over the face without any prickling sensation.
Brush #1 is a firm eyeshadow brush that allows for the application of eyeshadow very intensely when needed. The thin tip of the brush can also blend out lower lash line lines softly.
Brush #2 is the largest, softest, and airiest of Lumina's eye makeup brushes, making it best suited for blending medium-dark eyeshadows and applying light eyeshadow over a wide area. The synthetic bristles used in this brush mimic the structure of natural squirrel hair, helping powdery colors to spread smoothly and beautifully intensely on the eyelid.
Brush #3 falls between the firmness and airiness of brushes #1 and #2. It is excellent for blending dark eyeshadows, as the brush's medium-firm structure allows for effective and soft blending. Medium-dark eyeshadows apply effortlessly with this brush, thanks to its structure that mimics natural squirrel hair.
So choose brush #1 when you want to apply eyeshadow firmly and ensure the shade appears intensely. When you want to blend a dark eyeshadow or apply a medium shade, choose brush #3. For applying light eyeshadow over a wide area or blending darker eyeshadows, brush #2 is the right choice.
Brush #4 is designed for eyebrow makeup with powdery or creamy products, but it can also be used for eyeliner if needed. The thin, angled brush tip allows for precise work.
Brush #5 is a traditional flat foundation brush that beautifully applies liquid foundation over the entire face. The thin tip allows for easy application of foundation around the nose and for pressing additional coverage where needed, such as on the cheekbones and chin.
Brush #6 is in a class of its own in terms of softness. The super-soft synthetic bristle angled brush can create beautiful shadows or apply blush as lightly as needed. The rounded tips of the synthetic bristles ensure that the bristles do not prick or irritate even the sometimes sensitive skin of the face.
Brush #7 is a classic lip brush. When applying lipstick with this brush, the lipstick is almost "pressed" onto the lips, allowing the pigment to adhere and the shade to stay in place longer. The firmness of the grip can also adjust the translucency and intensity of the final result. The brush, shaped to follow the contours of the lips, can create a stunning festive or elegantly understated finish.
Brush #8 is a firm, wide concealer brush that can cover dark under-eye circles, small skin imperfections, and correct smudged lipstick. When applied with a concealer brush, the concealer finds its place and stays exactly where it should. Tip! If you want the concealer applied under the eyes to look particularly soft, press it into place with concealer brush #8 and then blend it out with blending brush #2. The result is as if you applied the concealer with an airbrush.
Brushes made from synthetic bristles are easy to keep clean and hygienic. Between makeup clients, you can disinfect the brushes with Duroy's brush disinfectant gel, and at the end of the day, wash them with Duroy's brush soap. Remember to dry the brushes lying flat or in a brush drying rack.
